Play Date Color Challenge

Image
Hey friends... I'm popping in with a card for the latest Play Date Color Challenge. Are the colors this week beautiful or what? I just love the color combo of pink, orange and green. I inked up some of my Avery Elle stamps to create a simple pattern. I also added some new dot embellishments I picked up @ Michael's the other day. Hope you guys have a great week! Brandi

Muse Challenge #14

Image
Hello friends, Hope your having a fabulous weekend so far. The sun should be shinning and the temperatures nice this weekend for us. Hopefully, I will be able to do a little yard work and bring the patio furniture out. I can't wait to be able to sit on the patio with a nice glass of white wine and a good book in the evenings. I had a few minutes this morning to make a card for the latest Muse Challenge #14. The muse this week is Virginia Lu. Her card is so cute. I was inspired by the various flowers, sentiment as a focal point and addition of pearl embellishments. I wanted to try the mask technique for my flowers to make sure there was enough white space for my sentiment to stand out as the focal point, similar to Virginia's card. Although I chose a different color scheme, I kept with the flower images and added a touch of dot embellishments. Thanks for stopping by! Brandi

Sweet Stamp Shop New Release

Image
Guess what time it is? New release time over at the Sweet Stamp Shop ! There are going to be two sets for release and I'm giving you a sneak peek of one of them. This set is called "Drops Background". It is perfect for adding a little touch of pizazz to your card. For this particular card I inked up the polka dot background in the set. I used it in the background of the card base and to embellish the tag. The sentiment is from one of my favorite Sweet Stamp sets "Chalkboard Sign" that can be found here. For more sneak peeks of the new release, please hop on over to the Sweet Stamp blog! Today is a good day friends! I am so happy and blessed that some good news finally came yesterday, ending the Boston manhunt. What a whirlwind of a week for everyone emotionally, not only with the events in Boston but with Waco as well. That saying is true "When it rains, it pours". Well I think people are ready for the sun to come out! Today I wanted to share a bright, fun card with you for the latest CASology Challenge #40 and CAS-ual Friday Challenge #99. Muse Challenge #13

Image
Hello and good morning to you crafty friends. Hope your having a great week. I was able to do a little crafting yesterday, so I made a card for the latest Muse Challenge #13. The Muse this week is Marion. Her card is so cute with a clean and simple look. I was inspired by the three flowers, bling and location of sentiment. I tried to recreate a similar look but with different colors. This challenge is so much fun. Right? Thanks for stopping by for a visit, Brandi Stamps: Flowers (Avery Elle Petals and Stems), Sentiment (Avery Elle Bonjour)

Avery Elle Challenge

Image
Hello friends... There is a current challenge going on over at the Avery Elle blog that can be found here ! It's based off of this fun photo of various colored lanterns. The winner will be highlighted as the guest designer for the month of June. How exciting is that? Since I love Avery Elle stamps so much, I had to play along. I inked up a set called "All Squared Up". You can find it in their shop here. I tried to maintain the color combo shown in the photo. Did you know that their little shop sells sequins too? How awesome is that? Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Little Tangles Challenge #10

Image
Hello friends! Hope your having a great weekend! The hubby and I had a busy, busy day yesterday shopping for home goods. We left the house at 11 in the morning and didn't get home until 7 at night. What a long day but we managed to get a lot of items checked off the list (placemats, light fixtures and a piece of artwork). I even convinced the hubby to stop at Michael's so I could pick up a few crafting supplies. He gave me 15 minutes tops. LOL! Anywho, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Little Tangles Challenge #10. The theme this week is "Getting Krafty". I use to create many cards with kraft backgrounds but found it so hard this time around. I did manage to create something with a couple of different stamp sets by Neat and Tangled (My Heart Sings and On the Strip). Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll be painting some doors today and watching "The Masters"! Our household is cheering Tiger on! Brandi

You can use Jackie's sketch only, Lesley's inspirational photo only or use them both to create a "FUSION". You can find all the details here. Fusion Challenge #1

Image
Hey friends, Did you have a great weekend? We sure did around here as the temperatures got up to almost 60 degrees and it was sunny. Whoo hoo! It's only a matter of time before we're able to get out on the golf course! Have you heard of this awesome new challenge called "Fusion"? It's the coolest idea ever! It's basically a challenge broken down into three parts (a sketch, an image or combine them both for fusion). You can find all the details here! I chose to work with the inspirational photo . I just loved the colors and the flower pattern. That is what inspired my card. Thanks for stopping by and have a great start to the week! Brandi

Muse Challenge #11

Image
Hey friends, Happy weekend! I'm going to work on the house today. First item on the list is to paint our bay window. I have to go to Dunkin Donuts to get an iced coffee first though. I need my jolt of energy! What's on your agenda today? I was able to make a card this morning for the latest Muse Challenge  #11 . This week the inspirational card is by Laurie Willison. I was inspired by the panel image. I recreated a panel with some patterned paper and placed a die-cut sentiment bubble in the center. I also added a decorative border at the top, twine bow and a few rhinestones, similar to hers. Before I go I wanted to thank you all so much for the kind comments that have been left on my blog recently. I read each and every one! Thank you! Brandi
