Hello! Hope you're having a great weekend. It's time for a new Scrappy Saturday Challenge over at Wee Memories! The theme this week is "Buttons, Bows and Brads" and is sponsored by Jay Gee's Nook. I have been a fan of Judith's (Jay Gee's Nook) for months. She is a talented designer and holds a fun monthly inspirational challenge. She even has her own internet based store that you can find here , and her personal blog can be found here! Go check it out because you will be amazed at her work and the products in her store. This week I decided to make a fall themed card. I just adore the fall but it seems that in upstate NY, winter is here. We had our first snowfall on Thursday. Yikes! I can't recall the last time it snowed this early. Why don't you come play along? You have until next Friday to upload your fabulous card or altered art  here  for a chance to win a great prize! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Hello! Hope you're having a great weekend. It's time for a new Scrappy Saturday Challenge over at Wee Memories! The theme this week is "Free For All" and is sponsored by Annabelle Stamps. You can find their website here . I pulled out my Annabelle stamp set titled Swirl Tree. I just love this set! You can see the full reveal of it here , and it is actually on sale. There are so many possibilities with it. I used the heart ornaments to decorate the tree for a wedding theme but there are so many more embellishments that can be added. The set has Easter eggs, ornaments and presents that can be hung from the tree to create various card themes. Cute huh? Why don't you come play along? You have until next Friday to upload your fabulous card or altered art  here for a chance to win a great prize! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Wee Memories Challenge #72

Hello! Hope you're having a great weekend. It's time for a new Scrappy Saturday Challenge over at Wee Memories! The theme this week is "Holiday Madness" and is sponsored by Lawn Fawn. You can find their website  here . I have been a fan of their cute stamps for awhile now. They are just so fun!!! This week I decided to do some altered art in lieu of a card. My cute little nieces are coming to visit for Halloween and I wanted to make them something special. I bought a package of Hershey's nuggets and covered them with some patterned paper. I bought this silver case a while back and it fits 12 of the little candy pieces perfectly. I decorated the outside of the case by wrapping it with patterned paper and topping it off with a bow, button, homemade tag and a few rhinestones. I hope they will like it. Why don't you come play along? You have until next Friday to upload your fabulous card or altered art  here for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Law

JGN Challenge #12

Image
Hello, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #12. The inspirational photo this month was so fun and full of color. Although my colors tend to be more bold than pastel, I was inspired more by the actual photograph itself. The image of the ferris wheel is what I focused on. Speaking of ferris wheel, the hubby and I took a trip this past weekend to the Texas State Fair. We actually went there for the OU vs. Texas college football game. We are huge OU fans and we actually won. We had such a great time there. I will share pictures later on in the week of the event. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Hello! Hope you're having a great weekend. It's time for a new Scrappy Saturday Challenge over at Wee Memories! The theme this week is "Halloween" and is sponsored by Paper Smooches. You can find their website here . I have been a fan of their cute stamps for awhile now. They are just so fun!!! Isn't this mummy stamp so cute? I actually got it in the $1 bin at AC Moore. I just love finding deals like this. Being a mummy, he didn't need to much coloring. LOL! I just need a few little embellishments, patterned paper and voila! Why don't you come play along? You have until next Friday to upload your fabulous card here for a chance to win a fun Paper Smooches prize! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

That Special Ornament

Image
Hey y'all, I have another holiday card to share with you that I made over the weekend. I created the various ornaments with a paper punch I bought from Stampin' Up. It is a great tool to have because it doubles as a tool for making cute tags for Christmas gifts. While posting this card about ornaments, I was wondering if you have that special one that you put on your tree from year to year. You know, the most memorable one. It could be store bought, home made or even received as a gift. The most important one that I can think of is a glass ball with a minnie (bride) and a mickey (groom) on top. We bought it in Disney World back in 2005 on our honeymoon. Every year I unwrap it carefully and place it on the front of the tree. It always reminds me of a perfect moment in time. I would love to hear your story! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Thinking of You

Image
Hey y'all, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made using this fabulous PTI set. I won this flower set from my friend Kasia , a few months back, when she had a blog candy post. I love to use it on sympathy and thinking of you cards. Well I'm off to catch up on my fall shows. CSI: Las Vegas comes on tonight and it is my favorite. There have been so many great shows that have come out lately. I have to narrow down the list because they are taking over my DVR. LOL! Thanks for stopping by, Brandi

Glitter Galore

Image
Hey y'all! I hope you had a fun weekend and were able to craft a little. I took full advantage of WCMD and made a few holiday cards that I will share with you this week. This particular one is full of glitter, huh? I bought these little glitter snowflakes a couple of years ago and finally dug them out to use. I just love the bright green and turquoise. Besides crafting, the hubby and I went to the movies this weekend to see "Killer Elite".  It was the hubbys pick but it actually turned out to be really good. It is based on a true story so that was a plus. Hope you have a great start to the week and thanks for stopping by, Brandi
