Free Your Creativity...

Image
Hey y'all, This has been an eventful day by far. Most of you are unaware that my husband is a mail carrier. I had no idea how dangerous of a job that can be until I was married to one. He is always coming home with some kind of story, got bit by a dog (yes this really happens), homeless man tried to break into his postal truck (yes this even happened). Today, however, I was not prepared for the phone call that a 3' x 3' sheet of ice fell off of an awning three stories high and hit him in the shoulder. Seriously? Well to make a loooong story short, he is doing well and his xrays only show deep bruising. Thank goodness! I swear he can write a book on his daily adventures. While he is resting, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest  challenge #40 at Wee Memories. The theme this week is "Free Your Creativity" and create whatever. I had this cute little birdie paper from Basic Grey and thought that it would be great for a baby card. What do you

What a Blessing...

Hey girls, Well the work week is almost over and the weekend is upon us. Thank goodness for that! I am looking forward to getting my hair done and a little shopping with my mother-in-law. Sunday is a big day for the hubby and I because the NY Jets are playing against the Pittsburgh Steelers and if for some reason (hopefully) we win, we will go to the Superbowl. Oh how my family would be so excited. Enough talk about that because I don't want to jinx anything. LOL! I am popping in to share a card I made for the latest Challenge at Wee Memories. The theme this week is to use ribbon. I also incorporated the colors for the Jewel Tone  Challenge at the Moxie Fab World. I kept this card pretty clean and simple. Thanks for stopping by, Brandi Supplies Cardstock: American Crafts (White), Stampin Up (Elegant Eggplant) Stamps: PTI (Fillable Frames #5 and Signature Greetings), Martha Stewart (Clear Pattern Stamps) Ink: Stampin Up (Taken with Teal, Basic Black and Crushed Curry

Tuesday Trigger: Bright Spots...

Hey girls, I am popping in to share a card I made for the latest Tuesday Trigger Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World. The theme is bright spots. I had the perfect stamp set in mind when viewing this inspirational photo. I kept it really clean and simple and for once, I did not add a sentiment to the front panel. Hope you gals are staying warm. I woke up this morning to -2 degree temps and it is sooooo cold! I truly love it though. Are any of you off this Monday for MLK Day? Believe it or not, I am. Whoo-Hoo! Because my bosses have a son in school, our firm gets every school holiday off. Love it! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Brandi Supplies Cardstock: American Crafts (White) Stamps: Inkadinkado (15) Ink: Stampin Up (Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, Only Orange and Crushed Curry) Ribbon: Stampin Up (Crushed Curry) Embellishments: Misc. Jay Gee's Nook Challenge #3...

Image
Hey Girls, I have really been dragging my feet today. The hubby and I stayed up pretty late last night playing "Scene It" (movie comedy edition). It is such a fun and addicting board game. I am popping in to share a card I made for the latest challenge at Jay Gee's Nook. The inspiration image is so beautiful with the colors of pink, yellow and green. It reminds me of spring. I wanted to say an extra "Thank You" to all of my friends that left a comment on my last post. It truly is touching, the amount of encouragement I received. You all are the best. Thanks for stopping by... Brandi Supplies Cardstock: American Crafts (White), Stampin Up (Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo) Patterned Paper: Misc. Bliss...

Hey girls! I hope you all have had a wonderful New Years. The hubby and I rang in the New Year with a few friends and popped the champagne cork at midnight! Whoo-hoo! I actually stayed up this year. I won't bore you with my New Year's resolutions this time because they are pretty much the usual except that one involves crafting. This year I am going to start submitting to magazines. I have noticed that most of you (my blog friends) have and were published, so I thought, why not? Who cares if they are never picked but at least I can say I tried. Right? Anywho, I wanted to pop in to share a card I made for the latest Play Date Cafe Color Challenge #62.  I used a few of my new stamps from Papertrey Ink that I recently purchased as a gift to myself for Christmas. LOL! Thanks for stopping by for a visit. Brandi
