Color Inspiration Challenge #53

Image
I have attached my card for Kristina's card challenge #53. The primary colors are great to use in making a card "pop"! I got my card in early because I am off to CT to spend time with the family for the holiday weekend. Hope you all do something fun in the sun this long weekend!

Walt Disney World Part 2...

Image
One day we went to Epcot (in the rain)! We still had a wonderful time even though there was a cloudy sky. During the month of May at Epcot there is a festival of flowers. All around the park there are characters made out of flowers (Cinderella, Snow White and many more). The first picture below is of me standing in front of the entrance with Cinderella and her prince behind me. The following two pics are of the flowered characters. Love the ostriches! Last but not least is a photo of my husband and I eating at one of our favorite restaurants in Epcot, Nine Dragons! It is authentic Chinese food. In Epcot there is an area that is dedicated to different areas of the World, called World Showcase. We love to walk around and view all of the different cultures. Whether you are in the area dedicated to Norway, France, Japan or etc., the individuals working at those places are from those countries.

Disney World Part 1...

My husband and I took a vacation to Disney World. It is definitely the "Happiest Place on Earth!" We try to go once a year, when we can. There is so much to do for not only children but adults and we take full advantage of it all. We took so many pictures (about 400). I know I can not show them all, so I picked out a few of my favorites. I will share them with you over the next couple of days, since their are so many. One day we went to Animal Kingdom. We absolutely love this park because it has my husband's favorite ride "Expedition Everest". The ride takes you through a snow capped mountain in search for a "Yeti" also known as a hairy, scary beast! Our first experience on the ride was tricky. We ended up getting stuck at the top of the mountain and had to walk down 14 flights of stairs through the mountain. Pretty cool though, because we got to see behind the scenes. Although we were not allowed to take pictures at that point, I was able to get a pho

Color Inspiration Challenge #52

Wow! Second post for the day (on a roll)! I just could not let the week go by and not participate in Kristina's Color Challenge. I have been M.I.A. for a while on vacation in Disney World. (Pictures to come at a later date!) I have been anxious to get back into the crafting groove. I hope you like my interpretation of the challenge. I promise that I used turquoise but the blue looks darker in the photos.

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #6

Hey all! I am back with a color challenge from Dawn . I absolutely love her challenges. The colors always work so well together. I bought this new stamp set from Stampin' Up that I have been dying to try out. The set includes the little deer shown below. I also bought some new turquoise wood grain paper that happens to work with the color combo. Love when that happens. Hope you like my card!

Lemonade Stand Award

Image
I received this award from my friend Odette http://handmadebyodette.blogspot.com/ . I like to refer to her as the "Sizzix Queen"! She is one of the most creative bloggers I have met by far. Most of her cards featured on her site use some form of die cut and they are super cute. Please stop by and check them out. She was kind enough to pass on the "Lemonade Stand" award to me. This award is for being a blogger who shows great attitude and gratitude. Now I have to nominate a few blogs I feel show great attitude and gratitude. I have a few followers (some public and some not) and they always leave such nice comments. Therefore, I would like to pass this award on to a few of them and a couple of other individuals: 1. Erika: http://mavsfann.blogspot.com/ 2. Yaneri: http://www.scrapycrafter.com/ 3. Mandy: http://messagesfrommandy.blogspot.com/ 4. Marybeth: http://stampingwithmb.blogspot.com/ 5. I wanted to do a quick post to show another Mother's Day card that I made recently, which I have attached below. I am off to see "Wolverine The Origin" an X-Men movie. Yes, my husband picked it! :)
